Colmeia

Enclosed structure with different geometric shapes. "Colmeia" means beehive in Portuguese, which brought inspiration to this piece. Composed of twelve layers of birch and four distinctive patterns. It measures 11 inches square.
 
Each piece is the result of an extensive creative process, which includes; meticulous design, laser-cutting, assembling and finishing. The nature of the wood and process allow each individual piece to be unique. The appearance of the final artwork will vary from the photos and videos, this can include colour, texture and depth.
