Colmeia, meaning "beehive" in Portuguese, draws inspiration from the natural geometry of honeycombs. Measuring 11 inches square, it is composed of 12 layers of birch and featuring four distinctive patterns. Its geometric forms are complemented by flowing like waves, giving the honeycomb shapes a sense of buoyancy, as if floating within the piece. The combination of rigid geometry and organic motion creates a dynamic balance, reflecting the harmony of structure and fluidity found in nature.

PRIMUS

Primus embodies the intricate balance between complexity and harmony through its 12-layered birch design. Measuring 18 inches tall and 24 inches wide, this piece captures the essence of unity within complexity, where each layer contributes to a larger, interconnected whole. The design features unique patterns and shapes on each side, almost mirroring one another, reflecting a duality—when separated, they form two distinct halves; when united, they coexist to create one cohesive work.

With a nod to the iconic artwork of the Dutch artist Escher and the enchanting staircases of Harry Potter, the design weaves together stripes that form a mesmerizing pattern.
